Jerome Journal
Edition 08
A new season always brings fresh energy, but Spring/Summer 2026 feels especially grounded. As routines return and wardrobes shift toward lighter layers, we focus on what really matters: clothes that feel good to wear, easy to combine, and relevant for everyday life. For SS26, we continue refining our approach to modern menswear where tailoring meets comfort, and versatility leads the way. Not louder. Not trend-driven. Just better choices, thoughtfully made.
Welcome to our latest journal.
This season builds further on the successful launch of our Denim, Chino, and 5-Pocket trouser programs. These pieces have quickly become essential parts of the Jerome Clothiers collection and for good reason. They’re designed with the same attention as tailoring, but built for daily wear. Clean fits, balanced proportions, and fabrics chosen for how they move, breathe, and age over time. Easy to dress up, effortless to wear casually. The kind of trousers clients reach for again and again.
Casual, done properly
SS26 also brings subtle but meaningful updates across the collection such as a refreshed selection of fancy viscose linings, adding character where it counts. New performance stretch linings in essential colours, supporting comfort across modern silhouettes. Additional entry-level suiting and jacketing fabrics that balance wearability, value, and consistency. Outerwear fabrics introduced last season have been refined and repositioned, making them easier to work with and easier to sell. Updated trims round out the collection are quiet improvements that elevate the final garment.
Details that make the difference
Our Spring/Summer I release introduces 45 seasonal suiting, jacketing, and outerwear fabrics, shaped by natural tones and relaxed sophistication. Soft creams, beige, and light greys form the base, supported by washed browns, deep greens, and rich blues. It’s a palette that feels calm, wearable, and quietly confident; perfect for summer tailoring with a casual edge. A few stretch seersuckers add comfort and functionality where it matters.
A seasonal palette that feels natural
After the strong response last season, our wool/silk/linen qualities from Lanificio Di Pray are now part of the permanent collection under the name Sunset. Light, breathable, and full of character, Sunset is about colour without excess. We’ve expanded popular shades and added softly washed pastels which are ideal for warm-weather tailoring that still feels refined.
Sunset - Colour here to stay
Everything in this collection is developed with real businesses in mind. With our 3-week lead time, wide in-house range, and made-to-measure flexibility, SS26 is built to support growth without adding complexity. It’s tailoring for today: practical, adaptable, and designed to fit into how men actually live.
Made-to-Measure, Made Relevant
Spring/Summer 2026 isn’t about reinventing the wardrobe. It’s about refining it. piece by piece, with intention, comfort, and confidence.
We’re looking forward to the season ahead,
Team Jerome Clothiers

Selvedge
Denim
Shirt
Selvedge denim, short for “self-finished edge” is produced on vintage shuttle looms that weave narrow, tightly constructed fabric with a clean, sealed edge, often marked by a distinctive colored selvedge ID.
Originally the standard for workwear denim, it fell out of favor in the mid-20th century as faster, wider projectile looms enabled mass production. Its modern revival, led largely by Japanese mills and makers, values the fabric’s durability, irregular texture, and superior fading characteristics, positioning selvedge denim as a symbol of heritage craftsmanship and premium quality.

Behind
The Carcoat
Product Highlight
When cars first hit the road, early 1900’s, they were open-top machines that offered zero protection from the elements. The original "motoring coats" were survival gear; long, heavy, and often lined with fur or thick wool to shield drivers from freezing wind, mud, and dust.
As automobiles evolved to include roofs and heaters, the need for heavy armour disappeared. The coat adapted instantly. It was shortened to mid-thigh; long enough to cover a suit jacket, but short enough to sit comfortably behind the wheel without bunching up.
Today, the car coat is the ultimate in-between outerwear. It retains the clean lines and shirt-style collar of its mid-century ancestors but utilises lighter, technical, or luxurious fabrics.

The Sunset
Collection
Sunset - Made for Summer Moments
The Sunset Collection was born out of a clear and growing demand for fabrics that truly work for summer, especially for those moments that call for something special: outdoor weddings, celebrations, and long evenings that stretch into the night.
Developed with Lanificio Di Pray, Sunset brings together lightness, texture, and character in a way that feels just right for warm-weather tailoring. The quality of the fabric, its construction, and the wide range of colours make it a natural choice for summer festives; easy to wear, breathable, and refined without feeling formal.
For us, Sunset strikes the right balance. It delivers the quality consumers expect, the versatility retailers need, and pricing that allows for healthy margins. A collection designed to perform; not only in the wardrobe, but also in business.

(Shirt sleevehead)
Spalla camicia (Italian for "shirt shoulder") is a classic Neapolitan tailoring technique for jacket shoulders, featuring soft, minimal padding and a distinctive, gentle wrinkling or pleating where the sleeve meets the armhole, mimicking a shirt's construction for a natural, comfortable, and mobile fit.
